The Forgotten Issue 3 cover

I love The Forgotten, the 6 part comic series from IDW and lookee here, I've got the cover for the third issue! Promising new adventures from 4 and Romana II, and 5, Tegan & Turlough, plus continuing the segments with 10 and Martha, if it's anything like the last two issues, this will rock!

Fingers crossed, this should be released on the 29th of October. I believe the term is "squee!"

Battlefield DVD

The cover for the Battlefield DVD has been released

The story stars Sylvester McCoy and Sophie Aldred as the 7th Doctor & Ace and guest stars Nicholas Courtney and Jean Marsh. It is released on 29th December this year.

Many thanks to Doctor Who Online for the image.

Autumn 2009 novels

Three new novels have been announced (presumably starring the Tenth Doctor alone)
  • The Taking of Chelsea 426 by Daniel Llewellyn
  • Autonomy by Daniel Blythe
  • The Krillitane Storm by Christopher Cooper
Obviously the third of these sees the return of the Krillitane from 2006's School Reunion and there are strong rumours that the second stars the Autons...

As for the authors, according to Wikipedia, Llewellyn wrote the Torchwood book Trace Memory, Blythe wrote Seventh Doctor novels Infinite Requiem (also starring Benny) and The Dimension Riders (also starring Benny & Ace), and Cooper is best known for founding the Marvel comic universe and being gay. I'm not entirely convinced that it's the right bloke...

No covers of plot details have been announced but expect them soon.

The Raincloud Man cover

I'm not sure if this is the actual cover for the December release, cos I have no idea what they're trying to do with Charley's head. Seriously what is that about?

Children in Need 2008

Well, RTD is a big lying scumbag. That's not the news exactly but whilst Rusty told us all months ago that there would be no Doctor Who scene in CiN this year, it now emerges that there will. The bugger.

Although in his defence, it isn't a proper scene. Instead we'll all get to see the first 2 minutes of The Next Doctor on the 14th of November, some 5 weeks before broadcast! Hooray! You've got to love that Pudsey.

New Companion Chronicles

If you read DWM, then you probs already know about the new Companion Chronicle starring the intrepid Jago & Litefoot (yay!) due for release next June. And the mysterious Three Companions starring Anneke Wills and two other companions bringing together "three eras of the show" (my money's on either Lousie Jameson or Lalla Ward with either Nicola Bryant or Bonnie Langford).

But Big Finish's new site update, they have also announced a new play for January starring William Russell as Ian Chesterton in Transit of Venus. No other details have been announced so no word on whether Susan or Vicki will be in it but still that's pretty good news. I've never been a huge Ian fan but I always loved Barbara and it's about time they got William Russell in.

Er... hello

Well, I'm not entirely sure if anyone's going to read this but what the hey. I decided to set up a blog for everything Doctor Who-related because, quite frankly, the only ones I could find were utter shit.

And when I say everything, I should say anything., because I really can't be bothered posting every last thing on my blog. But the anything will mostly be focused on the TV show (classic and new), Torchwood, Sarah Jane, the Big Finish audios and the BBC book range.

So... enjoy!
